Ben Eshmade

Ben EshmadeTo sum up in a few short paragraphs is a bit like squeezing one of the Roly Poly's into a size zero leotard. There's a lot to fit in. But here goes....

Ben, a radio producer and founder of the Arctic Circle, is a visionary, a grafter and an all round good guy (with a penchant for tea and cake).

His radio career began at his local Essex station before he went national at Classic FM. Here things really took off for him and he found himself producing shows for the likes of Mark Goodier and Simon Bates as well as crafting a series of eclectic one-off documentaries. He also created his own show, bringing a slice of minimalism, ambient and film music to the station every weekend. A cult hit, that has now transferred to digital station Chill.

It was the success of this boundary-pushing that led Ben to his current project - Arctic Circle. Now in its fourth year, these penguin influenced events have far exceeded even Ben's high expectations. Read more about about Arctic Circle here.

Back to the day job and he now earns a crust producing podcasts for the Barbican, Kings Place and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Alongside other radio production for stations such CBeebies Radio, Smooth Radio, Q, Kerrang and Radio 2.

That doesn't mean he hasn't had time to work on his plans for world domination. He's also been able to add recording artist to his list of talents, adding his French Horn finesse to recordings for the likes of Sone Institute, Gavouna, Psapp, Vincent Oliver & Songdog. So as you can see - he's a busy boy indeed.....
