Staffordshire based dreamy folk-pop melodicist Benjamin Thomas Holton is the man behind My Autumn Empire and the lynchpin of pastoral experimenters’ epic45. His latest release ‘The Visitation’ (April 2014) is testament to his willingness to experiment and is the most conceptual album to date. Holton pulls out his inner ELO to deliver a space themed, televisually inspired, dissection of human relationships and all their complexities. The themes are realised by utilising sumptuous vocal harmonies and rich progressive pop structures all the while retaining the smudged and hazy sonic textures for which he’s renowned.
David Julyan is a film composer best know for his collaborations with Christopher Nolan, films including Memento, Insomnia and The Prestige. Daylight Music sees David team up with Iskra Strings on a new non film project.
Owl & Mouse was born as the solo project of Australian singer-songwriter Hannah. After moving to London in 2008, Hannah taught herself to play the ukulele, and began writing vulnerable yet open-hearted folk-tinged songs, inspired by her friends, family and homes across the world. In early 2011, Hannah released her first solo EP on Haircut Records. A short while later, she began to form a more permanent, pop-oriented backing band, and now performs with Jen on backing vocals, Tom on bass, and Emma on keyboards. Owl & Mouse’s first single, ‘Canvas Bags’, is out now on Hangover Lounge Records.
